Khasi Locks

According to the folklore ” Khasi Talaa ” (also locally called the Mylliem Locks) originated in a village called Laitlyngkot, located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya in the 18th century. These traditional locks, even today, are handcrafted from metal sheets, old umbrella struts and iron rods, all cut and customised based on size requirements.
