ChaloHoppo To Assam and Meghalaya
There is a reason why parallels are drawn between Scotland and the tiny hill town of Shillong and then you have the meadows of Cherrapunji and the rhinos of Kaziranga to admire! Did we mention that you will be ferrying over the largest river island as well? Time to finally fill that diary of yours!

With the Brahmaputra river skirting the area of the national park in the north, east and west, annual floods brings both nourishment and destruction. If you itching to travel to this wild side of Assam, then you have to wait out the furious monsoon of the region and plan your winter sojourn. Shillong on the other hand is timeless as long as one can explore it on foot without rushing to tick off the checklist that tourists have. Spend time in handpicked cafes, try local delicacies and spend hours shopping before you drive away to Cherrapunji on beautifully laid out roads, skirting calm meadows decorated with a few homes. The craze of seeing the waterfalls of Cherrapunji hold true for the monsoons as most of the falls are seasonal, otherwise visiting the caves and relaxing in your resort under a blanket of stars isn’t a bad idea.
