All about ChaloHoppo to the festival of the golden valley.

Good things such as the Ziro festival don’t come easy, and the journey many would tell you is the toughest part of the venture.

The moment you enter Ziro your tiredness  vanishes, as the golden hues of the paddy fields hypnotise you. Though the festival organisers do their best to make the setting look pretty, nature has done 90% of the job and one needs to witness it to understand it.
Since it is an outdoor music festival, the essence of the experience festival lies in camping and bonding over the bonfire. So, even though there are different accommodation options such as homestays and a few hotels, camping is the best way to go.

This was my first experience with a camping company and I must say that I was truly impressed by the planning, implementation and experience provided by the Chalo Hoppo team! These guys are young travel enthusiasts who love giving a similar experience to people who sign up with them. More than the experience, it's the places they take you to, you'd seldom visit them yourself! You could be a solo traveler or be traveling in a group, each thing is planned for you well prior to your visit. Basic commuting, ticketing, lodging, food and entertainment, literally everything is taken care off. And most importantly none of it is transactional! They do it with all their heart! They travel with you, and ensure that everything you need is arranged for. I had visited Ziro and camped through them. I didnt have to worry about even a thing after paying once. The team has it all covered. An experience you gain from! :)

The team at ChaloHoppo are young, enthusiastic, and worth traveling with. They did a lot to make sure our camping experience at Ziro was memorable even though it was their first time setting something like this up. While there were some niggles running through the campsite, everything was tended to in a timely manner by the crew. What they lack in experience they make up for in coolth value, showing off a part of the country that deserves to be seen far more than it is. They ensure that you experience the place to a promising degree with pleasant and informative experiences around the local culture and lifestyle.

This was definitely a trip I'll never forget! The campsite was so well thought out and constructed, right from the setting in the midst of a lush meadow, encircled by groves of huge trees, to the endless supply of yum local beer and wines and the eco-friendly bathroom and tent structures. The vibe, of course, was amazing and it was really chill to get to a know a whole load of like- minded similar aged people all come together for the festival. Besides the campsite, we also did a lot of really cool stuff like cycling through the fields and villages and hiking through the forests. Would definitely recommend for everyone to go!
